We have a new roommate for the next 2 months! Auntie Alli moved in and will live with us until she gets married in February! Reid is THRILLED and the rest of us are now pretty much chopped liver compared to her. If only I could convince her to quit her job and help with the kids during the day… ;)
We went to dinner to celebrate!
Then we watched The Sound of Music with Carrie Underwood after the kids went to sleep!
Georgia Kate was sleeping in the pack n play in our guest room, so in order to prepare for Auntie Alli's arrival, we finally made the move and put baby girl in her crib upstairs. It wasn't that hard for me emotionally since she hadn't been in our room for a few weeks, but it was somewhat hard physically. I fell down the stairs in the middle of the night on my way back from her room. Fun times.
In other news, Reid had his very first dentist appointment on Thursday! I had intentions of taking a lot of pictures to document the occasion, but juggling a baby plus him only resulted in this picture in the waiting room. It was a very pleasant experience overall! The hygienists and dentist were SO sweet and wonderful. We ended up not doing a cleaning because he was being very reserved and skeptical, but there were no tears!!! They mostly just counted his teeth and gave him a goodie bag. He was talking the whole way home about how much fun he had! We will go back in 6 months and attempt a cleaning then.
My boy is growing up!
At first when I saw Alli's post about being Reid's roommate, I stupidly thought she was actually going to be sharing a room with Reid and wondered why she was so excited about sharing a room with a 2yo, ha! The actual set-up sounds fun though! Except for you falling down the stairs... try not to do that again :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so weird to me that babies turn into little people so quickly… how does that happen?! Reid seems so grown up all of a sudden, but of course he is still your cute baby boy :)

Ummmm that would be my dream come true- to have my little sis live with me! Lucky duck! And I agree- Reid looks so old all of a sudden!
