Well, it was a COVID Christmas for us. Despite the disappointment of having to cancel a lot of plans, we still enjoyed some Christmas fun throughout the month!
A few Thanksgiving pictures to start...
One of my favorite nights of the year is tree decorating night! I love our tradition of new pajamas, new Christmas books, and a special Christmas ornament. I didn't get pictures of the ornaments, but GK got a sewing machine, Reid got a deer, and Rhett got a fish. :)
We visited Santa with our cuzzies!
Chris and I attended 3 Christmas parties - his company party, our small group party, and my school party.
This picture is from his company's party at The Houstonian.
The kids got to have a fun cousin sleepover at Mumsie and Popsie's! They made Christmas goodies, went to eat mexican food, and saw the light show at Typhoon Texas!
We had our second annual girls' Christmas tea!
Annual Brookwood lunch with the Myers!
Then, Covid hit, and changed all of our plans for Christmas break. :( Admittedly, I was really sad. It was unseasonably warm and at times it just didn't feel like Christmas, but I hope the kids still have good memories from our time at home!
Gingerbread Houses...
Lots of swimming - definitely a perk of the warm weather!
Cookie Decorating...
Some back porch present opening and socially distant visits from grandparents...
Surprise! Dude Perfect Tour tickets (for summer 2022)
A few nights of driving around looking at Christmas lights...
Cookies for Santa!
Santa came! The kids were awake at 5:30...
Santa got a little mixed up on the size of Rhett's bike, but he got it straightened out! :)
We escaped our house on the 28th and took the kids to Taste of Texas for a special meal.
We had Christmas Eve 2.0 at Mumsie and Popsie's house on the 30th. We went to dinner at Anthonie's first and then went back to their house for dessert and gifts.
A New Year's Eve swim! :)
