Right after Christmas break, Reid's teacher said to me that she thought he could read more than he was leading us to believe based on some observations she had made at school. He had started showing more interest in learning to read at the beginning of the school year, but was always afraid to try in front of us because he's a perfectionist. Mumsie is a reading specialist and working in small reading groups was always one of my very favorite parts of teaching, so we were both very eager to work with him! :) After his teacher told me that she thought he could read, I was finally able to convince him to sit down with me and try. Well, in typical Reid fashion, he just started reading like it was no big deal. Silly boy! I have to say, this milestone has been one of my VERY favorites. It's just amazing to see a whole new world open up to your child through reading!

Easter Weekend
The Easter festivities began on Wednesday when Reid and Georgia Kate had their parties and egg hunts at school! They are very excited!
Chris had Friday off, so we decided to head to Blessington Farms to pick strawberries!
Saturday we spent some time swimming and dyeing eggs.
The Easter Bunny stopped by on Sunday morning!
We went to church and then spent the day at Mumsie and Popsie's house with Alli, John, Perry, Thomas, Rebecca, John's brother Pete, Grandma, and Grandpa.
Love little Perry Pie so much!!
Reid didn't have school on Monday, so I decided to take the kids on a spontaneous zoo trip! I was nervous about taking them alone, but we had so much fun!
Happy Easter!

27506 Blinkwood Park
Well, we have officially moved into our third home! We stayed in the neighborhood that we love, but found a floor plan that works better for our family. Moving with three kids is exhausting to say the least, but we made it! Slowly but surely we are getting unpacked and starting to feel settled. Moving is always bittersweet, but ultimately, home is where my people are. We are so thankful for our home on Blinkwood Park and all of the memories we made there! We moved in as a family of three and out as a family of five. Here are just a few highlights from our four years in our second home, but the very best moments are all the ones in between.
We brought home two of our babies.
We celebrated Alli at two showers (wedding and baby)!
We started our small group at this house and have continued meeting together almost weekly for over three years!
Our babies did some major growing up here, including moving into big boy and big girl beds...
and starting school!
That growing up was marked by lots of birthday celebrations!
We will always love our home on Blinkwood Park!
Chris had to go out of town for work for a couple of days the evening of moving day, so we were all excited when we came home to our new house!
We celebrated with dinner outside and our first family swim!
We are looking forward to making many more memories on Blue Holly Lane! :)
