Celebrating Georgia's Birthday

We loved celebrating Georgia Kate on Wednesday!  We had just gotten back from a few days in Surfside on Tuesday afternoon and the kids were pretty wiped out, so we spent the morning at home just hanging out and giving the birthday girl lots of hugs, kisses, and cuddles!  Throughout the day, Reid and I would ask her how old she was and she always said "Fo-wa (four)" with a little smirk on her face. ;) It was so funny!  Something else that I loved was that she kept walking by her cake on the counter and looking at it.  At one point she said, "It's my birthday cake!  It will be yummy!"  Oh, how I love her!

Chris got her a special birthday donut before he left for work that morning and I think it's safe to say she enjoyed it. :)  This picture cracks me up!!

After naps we met up with Daddy at Build-a-Bear!  We had never been before, but I thought it would be something Georgia would enjoy!  From what I could tell, she had a great time!

We came back home after Build-a-Bear to get ready for Georgia Kate's little party with all of her favorite people!  I'm sad I didn't get a picture of her with Alli, John, and Thomas, but they were there too! :)

Chris and I started a dress up collection for her!  Later that night Chris asked her what her favorite thing was about her day and she said, "My shoes!" :)

She loved getting to be a "muh-maid".

I love this picture of her looking at herself in the mirror.  Also… TWINS.

Just a mermaid walking her baby in her new stroller...

I absolutely love this series of pictures.  Georgia LOVED when we sang to her and when we were finished she said, "One more time!"  We ended up singing Happy Birthday to her 4 times and she blew the candle out (on her own) each time!  I always get teary singing Happy Birthday to our kids.

A mommy/birthday girl selfie before bed.
When I was rocking her to sleep she wanted me to sing Happy Birthday some more and I was thrilled to do so.

It was a wonderful day enjoying and celebrating our precious TWO year old!

Happy 2nd Birthday Georgia Kate!

Georgia Kate, you are TWO years old today!!!  Two is my favorite age.  I just love it!

Georgia Kate adds spunk, fun, laughter and a whole lot of love to our family!  We are so thankful for her!!!

Georgia at 2 years old…

She talks ALL DAY LONG.  She has such a little twang and it cracks us up!  She makes pretty much every word into two syllables.  "That yo-was (yours)?" "My hay-a (hair)"  I love how she adds "yah" or "yes" to the ends of a lot of her sentences.  "We go they-a (there)? Yes?"

Recently she has started calling me Mom (instead of Mommy or Momma) and I'm not sure I like it!

She is doing really well with learning her manners and often says please and thank you on her own.

She likes to tease and joke with us.  She will purposely put the puzzle piece in the wrong spot with a little smirk on her face or smile while saying the wrong answer to a question that she knows. :)

She loves to put on hats, glasses, goggles, etc.

She has turned into such a little fish this summer!  She LOVES the water!

She always runs and walks with a little skip in her step.  I love that about her!

She is definitely a momma's girl through and through, but looks more and more like her daddy every day!

She still really, really loves her ba-bees (pacifier).  At some point soon we are going to have to buckle down and become more selective about when she can have it.  Ugh.

She is so affectionate and cuddly!  Even if she's upset with me for telling her no or taking something away, she will still come sit in my lap and hug me while she's crying.  She loves to give kisses.  She will kiss one cheek and then push my face and say, "odder side", and kiss the other cheek.

She loves to pretend to drive in my car, push all the buttons, and take everything out of the console and glove compartment. :)

Some of her favorites...
Books - Little Mommy, Going to the Zoo, nonfiction books about animals (She's really advanced.) ;)
Songs - Old Mcdonald, I'm a Little Tea Pot, Mary Had a Little Lamb
Foods - Teddy Grahams, frozen blueberries, cheese sticks, applesauce

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY, BABY GIRL!  We love you to the moon and back!

21/22 week update!

I am officially 22 weeks along with our sweet #3!  We had our anatomy ultrasound last Monday when I was just about 21 weeks.  I was so excited to see our precious baby and also a little bit anxious.  We are so thankful that the baby looked wonderful!  I think I have been even more amazed during the anatomy ultrasound with each baby because I understand and appreciate even more what a miracle it is!  I was so happy and excited and grateful as we watched our baby wiggle around and I cannot wait to meet him/her!

It's been fun having a child that's old enough to kind of understand this time.  I showed Reid the ultrasound pictures that night and while he was somewhat confused (I can't blame him), he had the sweetest smile on his face.  Before bed, I usually ask Reid if he has anything he wants to talk about.  Lately he's been saying, "Yes!  Let's talk about our baby!"

Sweet baby #3, we love you so much already!!!

Gulf Shores Trip

We recently went to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a week of fun in the sun!

We usually go to Florida, but decided to try somewhere a little bit closer this year.  Well, the drive that was supposed to take 8-9 hours ended up taking 14!  The kids were AMAZING.  I couldn't believe how well they did.  The whole time I kept saying how much easier the kids were this year than last year!  They had a BLAST.  We stayed at the condo almost the whole week.  Chris and I and the kids went to meet my friend Traci and her kids for lunch one day (they happened to be in town the same week) and then we all went out to dinner and played putt-putt one night, but other than that, we just hung around.  It was SO nice.  We were back and forth between the pool and the beach and the kids just couldn't get enough!  Georgia Kate turned into a little fish while we were there.  She LOVED the water and was so brave.  Reid loved the pool, but wasn't a fan of the ocean until the last day.  Once he warmed up to it, he had so much fun running in the waves!

Father's Day was our first day there...

We attempted to take some nice pictures of the kids on the beach one evening, but that is way easier said than done! ;)

It was a wonderful week at the beach!!
