Easter Week(end)!

We celebrated Easter all week and enjoyed some beautiful spring weather!

We dyed Easter eggs before bed one evening and the kids loved it!

We had an egg hunt with our small group.  Love these kiddos!

I got to go to Reid's class Easter party.  I always love spending time with him at school!

They had an egg hunt earlier in the day, then had a special lunch, and then went outside to fly kites and have fun with confetti eggs!

We celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa on Friday with more confetti eggs and more egg hunting!

This technically wasn't an Easter celebration, but on Saturday, we went to our friend Penny's birthday party and this girl's dreams came true.  She has been asking to ride a pony for the last several months and she finally got her chance!  The look on her face may not show it, but she was so proud and excited. :)

On Sunday morning we went to church and then to Mumsie and Popsie's house.

It was so sweet to celebrate baby Rhett's first Easter.

Sometimes I still can't believe we have three kids.

My brother in law's brother is now also my brother's roommate!  The kids love having Pete around!

Here's a close up of the precious bubble Mumsie made Rhett...

We enjoyed brunch and an afternoon of more egg hunting and the big kids' first swim of the year!

Happy Easter!

3 things about our 3

Rhett slept in his crib at night for the first time on Tuesday, March 15.  We had already taken the pack and play out of our room to bring to the beach, so it seemed like a natural time to make the switch when we got back.  I am so sad not to have him in our room, but I know it was probably time.

This girl just started the "why" phase and it's already driving me a little crazy! Haha!  She is also VERY in touch with her emotions and I credit/blame Daniel Tiger. ;) When someone does something she doesn't like, she makes it very clear how she feels. "You took that away from me and that makes me feel very upset!" or "You told me no and that makes me feel mad!"  With all that sass, also comes a whole lot of sweet!

Our big boy is really into calendars and dates.  He has 3 calendars in his room and loves memorizing everyone's birthdays, asking how many days until certain events, and marking off days.  Also, two words - MARCH MADNESS.  He is now obsessed with basketball and keeping up with his bracket.

Georgia Kate loves holding her baby brother.  I think it's clear that our little peach has her own look!

My big kids...

This is what it looks like to try to get a picture of three kids. :) Georgia Kate adores those boys.  In the morning or after her nap she often says, "I want to go see my brothers!"

Spring Break Beach Trip

With Alli and John's baby set to arrive mid-summer and Rhett being so young, we decided to take our family beach trip early this year and stay a little closer to home.  My parents treated us to a long weekend in Galveston and we had such a wonderful time!  It was different, but really great, to be at the beach when it wasn't 100 degrees outside!  The kids had a blast playing on the beach and just being with some of their favorite people.

We celebrated two birthdays while we were there!

I gave Peach a little mani/pedi. :)

Guinny stopped by to visit!  We look forward to heading back in July with her and the rest of the Prestons for our 20th annual trip!

This little guy turned 4 months old and saw the ocean for the first time!

Daddy and his mini!

We went to the Aquarium on Monday and had lunch and ice cream on the strand!

We had a wonderful weekend and were all wiped out!
