Little Gym Halloween Party

We had a busy weekend!  On Friday morning Georgia Kate and I went with my mom and Alli to her first dress fitting!!!  We had breakfast together before and it was a fun time with just the girls.  Chris took Reid to get his flu shot.  He said he did great and didn't even cry!  On Saturday evening Chris took Reid to a birthday party and my friend Courtney came over to hang out with Georgia and me.  We always love seeing her!  I didn't take pictures of any of these things! :( 

Tonight we went to a Halloween party at Little Gym!  Reid had a great time.  He is such a handsome little fireman! ;)

Reid has recently decided he loves sunglasses.

 This afternoon he was running around the backyard and Georgia Kate let out a huge giggle!  It was PRECIOUS.  I love that she loves her brother so much already.  I am so excited for them to play and laugh together someday!  

He will love me for this picture someday. ;) Oven mits, Daddy's belt, and Mommy's shoes...

I got Georgia situated with a book on the blanket a couple of mornings ago and went to do something quick in the kitchen.  When I came back, Reid was next to her looking at his book.  My heart melted.  

I came back into the kitchen after putting GK down for a nap and found Reid turning the dishwasher rack into a car!  I'll bet he's been planning that for days! ;)

I love my morning time with this little love before her brother wakes up.

Georgia Kate is 3 months old!

Our sweet Georgia Kate is 3 months old today!  We just adore her.  She brings so much joy to all of us!    I feel like she's really "grown up" a lot in the last couple of weeks!  I love noticing little details about her, like that she has a nitch on the outer part of her left ear.  Something that I think is so neat is that Georgia and Reid both have one extra long eyelash on their left eye, right in the middle!  She has such pretty and girly feet.  I always watch her feet while she's eating.  She wiggles them around so much and points and flexes her little toes.   

Georgia Kate eats every 2 1/2 - 3 hours during the day.  She takes her eating very seriously.  She has THE most pitiful, sad bottom lip I have ever seen.  If I try to play with her for a minute before feeding her when she wakes up, that lip comes right out!  She's also very sensitive to Reid when he bothers her while she's trying to eat.  She does NOT like that.  I try to have her take two good naps at home and she usually takes one on the go and sometimes another one in her pocket in the evening.  We've fallen into a pretty good routine, but I don't stress out about planning everything around when she needs to sleep and eat like I did with Reid.  I've fed her in the car MANY times and she's often naps in my arms or in her carseat while we're out.  Nighttime is still pretty inconsistent!  She's slept through the night a couple of times (including last night), but most nights she wakes up once or twice to eat.  I never really know what the night will be like, but I really don't mind waking up with her.  I actually kind of like it.

Georgia is starting to like her swing a little bit now, but only if she's full and awake.  There is a little giraffe toy on there and she STARES it down.  It's so funny!  She still loves to be held and spends a lot of time in her "pocket".  She enjoys looking at toys and books, but most of her entertainment comes from watching her big brother!  She is doing great with tummy time and actually kind of likes it now!  Her neck is really getting strong.  She's rolled over from tummy to back a few times (the first time was on October 10th).  These milestones are just as fun with your second child as they are with the first!  I was so excited!  The best new thing that she did this month was LAUGH!!! She giggled a little bit at Popsie a couple of weeks ago when he was making a duck sound, but she really, really laughed at me in the bathtub a few nights ago!  She LOVES her bath and is so relaxed and happy in there.  I was just making little noises at her and she starting cracking up! It was sooooo sweet!!!

Blessington Farm and Other Fall Fun

We had such a fun and relaxing weekend!  Chris decided not to go to the A&M game this weekend (which was probably a good choice since they ended up losing), so we enjoyed a lot of family time!  On Saturday we went to Blessington Farm.  It was our first real outing just the four of us, other than a couple of very fast trips to our favorite mexican restaurant.  It was a success!  The weather was absolutely beautiful and Reid had the best time at the farm!  I snapped a few pictures before we left.  He was cracking us up!  He is all or nothing when it comes to pictures.  He either wants nothing to do with them or he completely hams it up like he was doing here.  He was totally posing!  It may have something to do with the fact that he was super proud of his new jeans.  He had one pair of jeans that John got him last year, but this was my first time to buy some for him.  It was a little bittersweet putting my baby boy (yes, he will always be my baby boy) in blue jeans.  I realize that sounds completely ridiculous to 99% of people, but jeans are such a grown up piece of clothing to me!

Reid got to ride in the pedal car with Daddy, sit on a tractor, go down the "big ole slide" (his favorite!), see chickens, ride in the train, and pick out a pumpkin to bring home.  Something I've noticed about our boy is that even when he is having a really great time, he can be very serious, especially when it's a new experience.  He likes to think and observe a lot.  

I am not sure what is going on with my hair here other than that it was really windy.  

My heart still skips a beat when I see pictures of my babies together.

In other Fall news, we got "BOO'ed"!  I am so happy to live on a street now where there are lots of kids and people do fun things!  Reid loved his goodies!

I got to snuggle with my favorite girl while we watched some football on Saturday.  Nothing better.

 Today Reid painted his pumpkin (and some paper, and the patio, and his entire body)!  He had fun!

We plan on ending this beautiful weekend with a family walk later on!  I love Fall!!
