Thanksgiving 2018

The kids all enjoyed their festivities at school before Thanksgiving break.

This little turkey had his first school Thanksgiving feast!

I joined Georgia at school for her kindergarten feast and some Thanksgiving bingo!

Reid's school did grade level thanksgiving parties in the gym.  They had a lot of different games, but the potato sack race was his favorite.  It was fun to see him having fun with his friends!

We spent Thanksgiving at the ranch this year!  I didn't get a family picture, but we had a fun and relaxing few days.

We have so much to be thankful for!

Celebrating Rhett's 3rd Birthday

Rhett has always loved horses, bulls, farms, etc.  For months he has been saying that he wanted to ride a horse for his birthday, so a horse birthday party with a few of his best pals was a must!  We had his party a couple of days before his birthday.

Love this little birthday cowboy so much!

Our baby is 3!

Paloma Trails did a fabulous job with the party!  The kids got to groom the ponies, dress them up, walk them, play red light green light with them, do an obstacle course with them, ride them, and feed them treats.  Rhett took a little while to warm up...

but once he did, he was so proud!! :)

Rhett decided not to actually ride a horse after all, but I think he still loved his horse party!  We finished up the party with a lunch of nuggets, goldfish, carrots & apple slices (horses' favorite treats!), and cupcakes. :)

We love these sweet friends!

Last night as a 2 year old!

Rhett's actual birthday was on a Monday.  All 3 kids came down with fevers the day before, so they ended up all staying home on Rhett's birthday!  Chris was already at work when the birthday boy woke up, but Rhett was excited to open his presents, so we facetimed him! :) Three is the sweetest age when it comes to presents.  I love that they don't know to expect them, but they are so excited to get them!

The four of us spent the day just hanging out at home.  Everyone pretty much felt fine all day, so whatever they had on Sunday must have been just been a quick virus.

We met the whole family at Alicia's for dinner that night and finished up with Rhett's favorite dessert, frozen yogurt.

We loved celebrating our sweet Rhett Michael!!!

Rhett is 3!

Our sweet number 3 is 3!

A few things about our littlest boy...

*Rhett is very verbally affectionate and it melts me.  He will randomly say, "You're the best mommy in the woo-ld (world)" and  "I love you so much."

*On that same note, he is also in a really grateful phase.  Several times a day he will ask me, "Who got me this?" It could be his underwear, a shirt, a toy, or a book.  When I tell him who got it for him he says, "Thank you! I love it!"  I feel like I am reminding the kids 100 times a day to have a grateful heart, so this makes me very happy. :)

*He is so funny!  When I ask him to do something, he often says, "Okay shooga (sugar)!"  I have no idea where he got that, but it cracks me up!

*Rhett always wants to be near me.  He still isn't great about playing independently or even with his siblings sometimes.  He also wants to be near me in the middle of the night.  At some point almost every night he comes into our room and wants me to come lay with him in his bed.  By child number 3 I know this is just a phase, so we are going with it. :)

*He loves Wild Kratts, horses, bulls, and snacks of all kinds.

*Rhett has such a raspy little voice that I love.

*Perry Frances Lodde is without a doubt his favorite person in the world.  No question.

I asked Rhett a few questions and here are his answers...

Fall Fun!

We've been having lots of fall fun around here!  In no particular order...

Rhett and Chris had Dad's Night at the preschool!

Reid was excited to have both of his grandmothers join him for a special Grandparents' Day lunch at school!

We took our biggest boy to Aggieland for the A&M vs. Clemson game and had a wonderful time!

This girl started back at dance...

and this boy played in a 3 on 3 basketball league with some of his buddies!

Chris' cousin Christie had a precious baby boy!  We love Tucker Andrew!

We traded in our car and while I am LOVING the new ride,  I was a little emotional about it.  We bought that car just a few weeks after finding out I was pregnant with Reid and it was good to us! :)

The Katy Tiger 2000 State Champion football team, as well as Chris as an individual player, were inducted into the Katy ISD Athletic Hall of Honor!  It made for a fun weekend!

We (I) made a pumpkin for the book character pumpkin display at Reid's school!  We are fans of Pete the Cat - I Love my White Shoes.  :)

I taught 5 sessions of Junior Achievement to Reid's class and loved the experience!  I enjoyed dusting off my teaching skills and getting to know his teacher and class better.

We put on some fall outfits and went to our preschool's 40th birthday celebration!

Not the best picture, but we are so thankful for this preschool!

I forced each child to take a picture with me before church one morning... ;)

Chris and Reid went to an Astros playoff game!  This was such a fun experience for Reid.

This guy didn't go to a game, but he sure is cute. :)

Georgia Kate had 3 field trips - the park for playing and cookie decorating,

Blessington Farms,

and the zoo! :)

We carved pumpkins!

We headed to Brazos Bend State Park to enjoy a beautiful day with friends!

Last, but not least, these two are having a blast being in preschool together. :)
