Summer Fun: July

July shaped up to be a pretty busy month for us!  In addition to Georgia Kate's birthday celebrations, here is some more of what we've been up to this month!

Alli and John took the big kids on a joint birthday outing to the Children's Museum.  They are seriously the best aunt and uncle ever!

While they were gone, I got to hang out with this precious girl!!

Reid went to two Astros games - one with Daddy and Grandpa and one with Daddy and a bunch of small group friends!

We had lots of friends over to play!

Case

Maggie-Jaymes

Pierce and Emery

Nolan and Parker (Penny was there too!)

We got snow cones after a Target run one afternoon.

We met some new friends at an indoor trampoline park!

We dressed in our red, white, and blue for church. :)

My Great Aunt Fuffy came into town and we got to see her several times throughout the week. It was so wonderful!

Reid went to a painting camp with his friend Case!  He loved it.  While he was there, Georgia Kate played at her friend Jillian's house!

We went to Typhoon Texas one day with Pierce and Emery and had a great time!

We met one of Georgia Kate's friends from school at the roller skating rink one morning!  This was a new experience for both of the kids and they were worn out afterwards!

Georgia Kate and sweet Faith

I hosted a baby shower for my friend Anna and baby Beck!

Chris and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary by going to dinner without kids! :)

We met some small group friends at our neighborhood pool one evening for swimming and pizza!

We had a week of camp and the kids had a BLAST.

Georgia Kate went to Sunny Days, which was basically a week of preschool.  She was excited to do centers, crafts, and play outside.  Two of her best pals, Penny and Maggie-Jaymes, were also in her class, which made it extra fun!

Super Hero Day :)

Reid went to TBarM Day Camp and it was AWESOME!  He could not stop talking about it.  I was SO impressed with the whole thing!

Pierce and Emery were there too! :)

Circus Day :)

Reid loved his coaches, Adam and Kade!  At the closing ceremony the coaches used one word to describe each kid in their cabin.  Reid's word was diligent, which I'm pretty sure was a different way to say competitive. ;) When I asked Reid if he would want to be a camp coach when he's in college one day, he immediately responded with, "I can't because I'm going to have football practice in the summers." Well, of course.

While the big kids were at camp, Rhett got to have a couple of playdates of his own with Nolan and Ellison!

We are wrapping up July by spending the weekend at home with three lovely cases of Hand, Foot, Mouth.  This is how we feel about that!

Here's to one more month of summer!

Georgia Kate is FOUR!

Somehow our baby girl is FOUR years old!  It seems like just yesterday that I got one of the very best surprises of my life - our Georgia Kate!  I am LOVING this age with her.  She is truly sugar and spice and everything nice.  Some days are heavier on the spice than others! ;)

A few things about our four year old girl...

She is hilarious!  She is the comic relief in our household and we just love her for it!

She is the best big sister.  She is sooo sweet with Rhett!  She's a great little sister too and the perfect middle girl between two brothers.

She is very generous and (almost) always willing to share with her brothers and others.

She is an encourager and loves passing out compliments.

I just love her expressive eyes and watching them when she talks. :)

She loves babies, mermaids, princesses, books, swimming, and all things crafty!

We love you SO much, Georgia Kate!!!

Cheers to FOUR!

GK turns 4 in Surfside!

This year Georgia Kate's birthday fell on our annual Preston family Surfside weekend!
We celebrated her birthday with Grandma and Grandpa by going to dinner and to get frozen yogurt the day before we left for the beach.

She was SO excited to be at the beach for her birthday!  She kept saying, "Thank you for taking me to the beach for my birthday!" :)

Last picture as a 3 year old...

Love these sleepy birthday morning pictures!

We kept our tradition of balloons on the chair, presents on the table, and a pink sprinkle donut for breakfast.

Brothers :)

The birthday girl spent her day playing at the beach...

having a very special tea party with real tea cups, pink lemonade, and flamingo cookies arranged by her Guinny...

and being sung "Happy Birthday" to by a pretty big crowd! :)

I think the birthday girl had a wonderful birthday celebration!  I wasn't great about pictures, but it was a great weekend!  It's always so much fun seeing family that we only see once or twice a year and catching up.  I'll leave you with a couple pictures of this beach baby...

Two of his favorite things about the beach are cheeseballs and bubbles! :)
