life lately through the iphone

Reid won't start doing any type of "school" until next year, but this was on the first day of ibloom (our mom's Bible study on Monday mornings).  This was his first year to go to the childcare because Chris' parents watched him the last two years when I went.  He seemed so big going to his little class! :)

 This was Georgia Kate's first real smile we caught on camera!

 Reid got to help me cook in attempt to make him want to eat the vegetables.  It was unsuccessful but he still had fun!

 This child still will not watch TV, despite my many attempts.  However, he would watch the Aggie band on youtube for hours if we would let him!  

 This was our first walk in the double stroller!  Why does Reid look gigantic in this picture?!

 Someone was having some fun while I was feeding his sister. :/  When I asked him to clean it up he said, "But there's so many!"

 I could just eat her up in this bonnet.  I mean, really.

 This pretty much made Reid's life.  My parents pulled over one day to let him get out and touch the alligator at the crawfish place that he is obsessed with.  

 There's nothing like running through bubbles in your pj's first thing in the morning!

That's what we've been up to lately!

Georgia Kate is two months old!

Our tiny peach is 2 months old and precious as can be!  She has started cooing and smiling a little bit, but she makes us work hard for them!  Mumsie and Poppies seem to get the most smiles out of her.  She notices Reid now and I can tell she really loves him. :)  She just watches him and follows him with her eyes.  I am so excited to watch their relationship grow.  She's such a little cuddlebug!  I love the way she nuzzles her head in my neck.  I love that she's filled out and I am obsessed with her sweet cheeks and leg and arm rolls!  She's not a fan of the carseat or really anything that involves not being held.  She still loves her bath and kicks her legs and coos when she's in her tub!

Georgia Kate is already wearing 3-6 month clothes!  I am anxious to see how big she is when we go to the doctor this week.  Speaking of clothes, I seriously need an intervention.  Girl clothes are a huge problem.  I love shopping for Reid, but it has never become an issue because I have to search so hard to find what I like.  Precious girl clothes are everywhere.  Yikes.  

Georgia Kate eats about every 2.5 hours during the day.  She really only naps well when she's in her pocket.  She doesn't like being put in her bed (currently still the rock n play) to nap and usually only sleeps 20 minutes or so if I put her in there.  She's a pretty good sleeper at night, usually only waking 2 times to eat.  Most nights she sleeps from 8:00 to 1 or 2!  Yay!

birth announcements and such

 Even though technology makes it very easy to "announce" your child's birth, I still love the old fashioned way of sending birth announcements in the mail.

I was SO sad that we didn't get a picture of Georgia Kate with our beloved Dr. Levin in the operating room, so I was sure to get one at my 6 week follow up.  We love Dr. Levin and are so thankful to her for delivering our two miracles into this world!

I don't think I ever put Reid's birth announcement on the blog, so here I am officially announcing his birth (2 years later). ;)

I am sooo excited about these two prints of my babies.  I can't wait to hang them up once I decide where to hang them!  I think they look so much alike in these pictures!

happy birthday dear _____

Today we had a few sweet moments of cuddling together in the glider.  I just love getting to hold both of them at the same time!  Reid was being so silly!  His new thing is that he loves for me to sing happy birthday to everything!  We did this for about 10 minutes while we rocked in the chair.  Some of the recipients of the serenade included "Happy birthday dear..." Grandpa's truck getting fixed in the shop, Aggie band, Mommy's toe boo-boo, Georgia Kate's poo-poo (gross, yet hilarious), and Chloie's crazy hair.  Fun toddler moments like this more than make up for the frustrating ones. ;) 

Our Little Aggies

Last weekend was the big A&M and Alabama game!  Chris went to College Station for the weekend and the kids and I stayed at my parents' house.  We tried two different times to get pictures of them in their cute Aggie clothes and neither time was very successful thanks mostly to a particular two year old.    He had THE WORST meltdown we've experienced to date because he didn't want to put on his Aggie clothes.  After Chris and I literally forced him kicking and screaming, we managed to get a few pictures.  You can tell how thrilled they both are!  Oh well...it's real life.

Reid's First Aggie Football Game!

Chris decided kind of last minute to bring Reid to the Aggie football game today!

Apparently there was a lot of eating going on.

They got rained on a little bit, but that didn't stop them from having a great time!

Chris said that Reid was fascinated by the horses and donkeys in the march-in.  He also loved the band!   His favorite part of the whole experience was the "big ole tunnel" (under the railroad tracks) that they walked through to get to the game!  That's so Reid right now - obsessed with tunnels!  

I was kind of sad that I didn't get to experience his first game with him, but I'm so glad that my boys had such a fun and special time together!  

My boy lately...

Oh how I love this kid.  Here are some things about my boy at 27 months that I want to remember.

He loves to dance and has some pretty awesome moves.

He is very particular about how we play and if I don't do something exactly how he wants it done he screams, "NO MOMMY PLAAAAAY!" (He also says, "No Mommy help!"and "No Mommy sing!")

He says "woa!" and "cool".  Um, what?!

He is such a happy boy and has the best laugh!

He loves tunnels and bridges.  He loves building them and also going under and over them in real life.

He also loves construction vehicles.  Lucky for him, we live in a new neighborhood so they are everywhere!

He is really into getting "big muscles like Poppies", so we use that to get him to eat certain things.

He is very sensitive and concerned with others.  If he sees someone get hurt or sad, he worries about them and talks about it for days.

He uses a really high pitched voice when he is talking about Georgia.  It's the funniest thing!

He always says, "That's sad" when he breaks something on purpose.

At least once a day he says, "Georgia Kate bye bye!" and I say, "No, she's going to live at our house forever!"  Then he says, "YAAAY!" in his high pitched voice.

He tells himself "Good job!" all the time.  At least he's not lacking confidence?

He is so sweet and says sorry to everyone and everything.  He says sorry to the table if he bumps into it, Georgia Kate's pacifier if he drops it, anything.  It's so funny!  He also said "sorry baby" to me the other day because I say that to him.  Haha!

He is sooo independent, which is fun to see but can also be extremely frustrating.  He is also quite the negotiator these days.

He can make such a huge mess in such a short amount of time.  I know it's probably very typical of this age, but my goodness.  I can't keep up, especially with a baby!

He's starting to say prayers on his own.  Mostly he tells God thank you for people and things (last night he thanked God for hot dogs).

He's started saying "big ole" for everything!  "Reid has big ole feet!  Reid saw a big ole frog!"

One of my very favorite things is that he kisses by making the "ch" sound!

I feel like he seems more and more grown up every single day!  I am amazed at what he's saying and learning.  This age is so much fun!
