Chloie Jane

Our Chloie Jane went to heaven on September 10th.  It was such a hard thing to walk through as a family, but it was clear that she was suffering.  Chloie was born on November 11, 2003 and after seeing an ad for puppies in the newspaper, she became ours at some point between Christmas and returning back to A&M for our spring semester.   She was our first baby.  I can't get over how tiny she was!  Chloie moved with me to our house in College Station, back to my parents' house, and then to our first house as a married couple.  We added Annabelle to our family, move two more times, and had three babies.  She was there for all of it!  Chloie had A LOT of health problems throughout her life, but she always made it through. :) She LIVED for meal time.  When she could still see, she would sit on her perch on the couch and bark at everything (and nothing) all day long.  We always said that she had the personality of a cat because she wasn't always the most affectionate or playful.  She was a quirky little thing and we loved her SO much!  Our home isn't quite the same without her! 

 

Weekend in Clemson!

Earlier this month, Chris and I got to spend a few days away with some great friends in Clemson, South Carolina!  

We flew in and out of Atlanta and rented a big, white van. :) 

Other than two delicious meals in Atlanta on our travel days, and spending a little time on the Clemson campus, we spent most of our long weekend relaxing, laughing, playing games, cooking, and enjoying the scenery at this beautiful house on Lake Keowee.  

We all really liked Clemson!  Everyone was so nice and the campus was pretty!

We are so grateful to our wonderful parents for their help with the kids so we could enjoy this time away!  

Back to preschool for Rhett!

Rhett started back to preschool about a month ago.  He was anxious about being in a different class than Perry this year, but I know it will be a good year of growth for him in the Tiger class!  We had a little bit of a rough start when Rhett threw up at school on the first day.  We had some major tears at drop off for a couple of weeks, but I am happy to report that we have turned a corner!  We love his teachers, he's making some new friends and having so much fun!  Settling into our new routine has been good for all of us.

Thomas and Rebecca's WEDDING!

On September 1st we celebrated the wedding of Thomas and Rebecca!  Reid and Rhett were ring bearers and Georgia Kate was a flower girl along with Perry and Rebecca's niece Savannah.  It was their first time to be in a wedding (and even attend one other than Alli and John's) and I was excited that they got to experience it!  It was a beautiful, fun, and busy weekend!
