Rhett - 18 month update

Our little brown eyed cutie is 18 months old!  Rhett Michael, you bring so much happiness to our family!  

Here are some things about Rhett at this age...

* He is silly, funny, hilarious, goofy, and just makes us all laugh!

* He is still VERY attached to me.  When someone he doesn't know (or even sometimes someone he does know) talks to him, he always points to me and says, "mama", just to be sure they know. ;)

* He loves being chased and tickled.

* He is consistently sleeping through night!  He usually goes to bed between 7:30 & 8:00 and wakes up anywhere from 6:00-7:30.

*He is such a grump when he wakes up!  Morning or afternoon... grumpy! Haha!

*He's in the beginning phase of wanting to do everything himself.  I'm working very hard to try to  embrace it. ;)

*He is really physically strong.  Wrangling him can be quite the workout!

*He is a bossy little thing, especially to the dogs!  If they jump up by him or come near him when he's eating, he yells, "NNNNNNNNNNO!"  He also answers me with, "no no" most of the time.

* He is WILD and climbs on everything.  I turn my head for 5 seconds and he's on a table or a bed.

* When he laughs he often puts his hands over his mouth.

*He has one volume - LOUD.

*While he is relatively flexible with his schedule, he is pretty much the complete opposite of laid back in almost every other way! Haha!

* He pretty much hates all food except snacky carbs, fruit, and pouches.  But when the food he does like is taken away, he gets MAD.  Really, really mad.

* His communication is getting better every day.  He nods (with his entire body) and shakes his head.  He says, "NO!"/"NONONONO" (and simultaneously shakes his finger), "Mooooo" (move), "GO", "ow" (out - which he says when he wants out of something or to be picked up), "mo" (more), "nana" (snack), "BOO!", "bu" (book), and my personal favorite, "fu-moo" (fumble).

* His puppy has become his official lovey and he's become very attached to it, just like his brother and sister are to theirs.

* He loves to look at books before nap and bed.

* He loves wrestling and being rough with Reid and Daddy.

*He loves other babies!  He gets giddy when he is around Perry, especially now that she's mobile!  He also loves his friend, Ellison!

* When any kind of music is on, he busts out his one and only dance move, the one arm chicken.  He flaps one arm like a chicken and turns his hand like he's turning a knob.  It's hilarious and makes us laugh every time.

Rhett, you are so adored!!!
