We had heard rumors that we could possibly get a few snow flurries on Thursday night and it was enough to get us cautiously excited! We kept the kids up a little bit later than normal just in case and then right after we had given up and sent them to bed, the flurries started! We left Rhett in his bed, but got the big kids up to go check it out! They were pretty excited!
Little did we know that we would wake up on Friday morning to a winter wonderland! It was the most wonderful, beautiful, and completely unexpected surprise!
We couldn't stand it and got the kids up at 5:45! They couldn't believe it and seeing the looks on their faces was priceless!
*Note - They had a BLAST, but by the time it was getting light outside they were cold and wanted to go in. I regret not getting better pictures in the daylight!
Someone was starting to get grumpy at this point...
It was a magical morning!
It was so great!! Why can't it happen here just like once a year, every year?!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of Rhett with the snowball!! All of my pics of the twins were also in the dark since we had to leave early for school- I was bummed that they didn't get to stay out later to enjoy it! Although similar to GK, Clara was over it fairly quickly... even though she has been the one praying for God to make it snow for months! Crazy kids.
