We have been out of town for the last few weekends, so we were really excited to have a relaxed weekend at home! It's been cloudy and rainy, which makes for the perfect lazy weekend!
On Friday night we went to El Jarrito! It had been a few weeks and we'd been missing it! :)
Most of Saturday was spent converting our dining room into a playroom! Our dining room has remained incomplete and unfinished since we moved in 6 years ago, so we figured we might as well make good use of the space for now! We had an extra couch that was being stored in a spare bedroom, so we moved that into the dining room and bought a rug. Reid's Popsie built him a great shelf for his toys! I want to add a few things to the walls soon and get some cute pillows for the couch. It isn't very colorful and childish looking, but it's also the first room people see when the come in our house. I think it would be fun to have a house with a gameroom someday that we can make really happy and bright! I am glad to have most of the toys out of our living room!
On Saturday night the three of us went to Red Lobster. We found a gift card that Chris got from work in 2008 and figured we should use it! We ended up being there for 2 hours. It was SO SLOW. Reid was such a good boy and didn't even make a peep (mainly because he was being fed a million cheerios and yogurt bites).
To pass the time, we decided to let him try using crayons! He liked coloring when he wasn't snacking on them!
His first piece of artwork! :)
We started brushing his teeth with baby toothpaste a couple of nights ago. Right now we just do it in the tub! :)
This morning we went to church and Reid went to the nursery for a little while. He did much better this time than the last time we tried it.
Reid enjoyed playing in his new playroom after church!
This afternoon Mumsie, Popsie, Auntie Alli, and Uncle Thomas stopped by to play! Alli got Reid this super fun water table for his birthday, so we finally let him try it out! He had so much fun! I know this will provide us a lot of entertainment this summer!
Reid went on a little wagon ride with Popsie!
We love lazy weekends! :)
Jealous of your water table & wagon! Sounds like the weekend was a good mix of lazy and productive :)
