2020 pre-quarantine...

Are we really only three and a half months into 2020?!  There were definitely some things about the first quarter of the year that were not my favorite, but there was also a lot of good!  Here is some of what we've been up to starting back in January!  

We celebrated Chris' birthday with a family bowling trip and had a great time!

We went to the Katy Rodeo, which is always a fun family event!  

We had some school events...

Reid's rodeo artwork was chosen to be displayed at the KISD art show.  We were so proud!

Reid and Georgia ran in the Glow Run for their school fundraiser!   

Georgia Kate had her 1st grade reading restaurant!  I am so proud of the reader she has become!  

Reid has his 2nd grade Red Carpet Writing!  This was a really fun event!

The kids had Donuts with Dad!

Reid and I went to Mother/Son Night at Wolman and had a great time together and with friends!

Reid and Georgia had field day right before Spring Break.  We didn't know it at the time, but this ended up being their last school event of the year. :(

Meanwhile, this little guy was busy living the preschool life!

He was really excited about his valentine box this year. :)

He wrote his name for the first time!

His last "official" event for the school year was Rodeo Day!

On the extracurricular front...

Reid enjoyed his basketball season on the Owls with Coach Wes and lots of friends!

Baseball season barely got to start. :(

Reid was set to have a very special season on the White Sox with Popsie as his coach.  They got to practice several times and have one scrimmage, but they didn't even get to have their first game.  My dad was so kind to step in and volunteer to coach the team when nobody else did.  

Rhett was SO excited about his very first season of T-Ball.  He talked about it constantly.  Chris was the coach of this very adorable Grizzlies team!  They did get to have one game and I'm glad Rhett got to experience it since he had been so excited.  

We didn't have any big plans for Spring Break, but we ended up having a nice week.  Little did we know that Spring Break would last 4 extra weeks and counting...

Reid went to the A&M vs. Rice baseball game with Chris and friends (before the baseball season got cancelled)!

Mumsie and I took the kids to pick strawberries at Blessington Farms and then went to lunch at Hat Creek, their favorite!
