We recently went to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a week of fun in the sun!
We usually go to Florida, but decided to try somewhere a little bit closer this year. Well, the drive that was supposed to take 8-9 hours ended up taking 14! The kids were AMAZING. I couldn't believe how well they did. The whole time I kept saying how much easier the kids were this year than last year! They had a BLAST. We stayed at the condo almost the whole week. Chris and I and the kids went to meet my friend Traci and her kids for lunch one day (they happened to be in town the same week) and then we all went out to dinner and played putt-putt one night, but other than that, we just hung around. It was SO nice. We were back and forth between the pool and the beach and the kids just couldn't get enough! Georgia Kate turned into a little fish while we were there. She LOVED the water and was so brave. Reid loved the pool, but wasn't a fan of the ocean until the last day. Once he warmed up to it, he had so much fun running in the waves!
Father's Day was our first day there...

We attempted to take some nice pictures of the kids on the beach one evening, but that is way easier said than done! ;)

Looks like such a fun trip and I'm so relieved on your behalf that the kids did ok in the car- gives me hope for our drive to Arkansas next month :) And I love the posed pic of y'all with the kids in light blue- too bad you're throwing a new baby into the mix in November or it would make a perfect Christmas card pic, ha!
