Thankful

I am 37 weeks pregnant and one of the last things on my to-do list is to start a blog. I am ready to cross it off, so here we go! :)

As Baby's due date gets closer and closer, I have been asked the "How are you feeling?" question more and more. To be honest, I am feeling lots of things! I am sure it is the same range of emotions that most mommies to be experience before their baby is born. One word that comes to mind is THANKFUL. We have been SO blessed.

First and foremost, we are thankful to be expecting a baby! This is something that we do not take for granted. I have seen so many of my friends struggle with infertility and many are still waiting. We know what a true miracle it is to be blessed with the gift of a baby.

I am thankful for a healthy pregnancy! I have felt really good except for the huge ankles and feet I have after work each day. I can't complain though. The whole pregnancy has been pretty easy!

I am thankful to be married to such a wonderful man who is so excited to become a daddy! He has been very supportive and encouraging throughout this pregnancy. He is good about reminding me to relax and enjoy this journey instead of getting overwhelmed about it all.

I am thankful for our parents! This is the first grand baby for my parents and Chris' parents. They have been so very generous in helping us prepare the nursery! It is more than I ever imagined and it is because of all four of them! We are blessed to have such amazing parents as our examples!

I am thankful for all of our family and friends! Every one's excitement about the baby has been such a blessing! We had some BEAUTIFUL baby showers given by precious friends. It was so special to get to celebrate Baby with the people we love most! Chris' office gave him a shower too! I thought that was so sweet. We are truly overwhelmed by all of the gifts we have received. We haven't had to buy a thing! This baby is SO loved!

I have known the Morris' since I was 5. They are such a special family to us!
Ashlee is expecting a baby girl in July! It is so neat to go through this together!
